Much Ado About Capital in the 21rst Century

I'm not sure what got me interested in the inequality issue. I guess it was all the excitement generated by Thomas Piquetty's book, Capital in the 21rst Century.  How could an economics book, a tome of more than 500 pages, hit number one on the NYTimes Best Seller List?  I just read yesterday where the publisher expects to sell 200,000 more copies.  By April, 2014, the Harvard University Press had sold 80,000 copies.  The majority of reviewers on Amazon said the book was eminently readable.  So, I took a chance and bought it.
